Guild Wars 2: The First Official Stuff in Nearly Two Years!

Yup, ArenaNet posted some concept art on their Guild Wars 2 Facebook page today, and it’s pretty fantastic. If you played the original Guild Wars, the style should be familiar from the zone loading screens. And you should also know, then, that the concept art was pretty spectacularly-rendered in-game as well.
It’s so great to finally have something to look at related to GW2, and kudos to ArenaNet concept artist Daniel Dociu on some really amazing artwork.
Oh, and if you missed it yesterday, there’s a new animated graphic (and that’s all) on the official Guild Wars 2 web site as well.

But now that you’re a WoW junkie, you’ll have no time for GW. š
Personally, i wasn’t a huge fan of GW, because I’m a single player type of guy and what i liked about WoW, for almost 5 years, was that you could play it as a single player game without the need for others because Blizz put so much content in, by way of quests. GW needs more solo content, but then i guess it wouldn’t be GUILD Wars, huh? By my self Wars?

Heh, By Myself Wars…I like that.
To be honest, though, you can get through most of the GW content without ever having to join a guild. I was never really in a guild (I was, but never did anything with them) but yet finished Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. There’s a LOT to do as a solo player, and they added more and more (such as Heroes) to make it an even better single player game.
I did find that Eye of the North was a bit of a challenge as a solo player, though.
Anyway, I have to go and post a link to the GW2 preview video, which is absolutely stunning!
