If you’ve visited an auto show recently where the Converj was on display, you were probably at least a little bit wowed by its styling, even if it’s not a car you’d want to drive yourself. Done up as a concept and unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January, the Converj is GM’s way of making a few more dollars back from all the money it spent developing the Chevy Volt.

The Converj is designed to use the Voltec platform in the Volt, albeit with the Cadillac style, luxo and (perhaps) performance tweaks one would expect. And, apparently, very creepy mannequins.

An all-electric Cadillac is a pretty nifty idea, especially when it looks like the Converj, but with GM in such a bad financial position these days and no long-term security, it’s almost impossible to imagine that they can fund this car’s production in their current state.
