Target Settles Class Action Lawsuit to the Tune of $6 Million

Target will pay $6 million in settlement dollars due to a class action lawsuit with the National Federation of the Blind over accessibility to Target’s website. It seems the court didn’t appreciate Target’s rebuttal to the lawsuit, which was “What difference does it make?! How are they even gonna find a computer in the first place?!”

Blind people use computers all the time. I am blind and I am writing to you on one now. You should avoid showing your ignorance on-line. Besides, my best friend’s nine-year-old can come up with better jokes.

That aside, what is it you think I showed ignorance about? I mean, if you know it was a joke, then you know that it was tongue-in-cheek and therefore I don’t really think that blind people can’t / don’t use computers, so…
