  • Microsoft is doing away with both DVD playback in Windows 8, and the whole Windows Live thing…you’ll just have a single Microsoft Account moving forward.
  • Version 19 of Google’s Chrome browser will now sync open tabs across different devices
  • Samsung already has 9 million pre-orders for the Galaxy SIII
  • A company called Synergy is trying to raise money via Kickstarter to build a box-wing aircraft
  • HP’s t410 computer has a single Ethernet cable that even supplies power to it
  • Hot on the heels of Barnes & Nobles’ success with the Nook Simple with Glowlight, Amazon is reportedly working on their own front-lit eReader
  • Nearly 40% of New York City’s 9-1-1 calls are butt-dials
  • Reuters is reporting that the iPhone 5 will in fact have a 4″ screen and come out in September or October
  • The next iPhone may also see an all new, smaller dock connector
  • Google has just added Knowledge Graph to many search results
  • Verizon is not carrying grandfathered unlimited data 3G plans forward to 4G service
  • A guy going by the name BTE Dan has put together a website and proposal for building an actual, functioning, space-going USS Enterprise (but without warp drive)
  • The Center for Innovation, Testing and Evaluation (CIT-E) will begin construction next month
