In TV (~31:55), the segment starts with the guys talking about Grimm, The Walking Dead and The New Girl. Tony talks about Boss, Revenge, Once Upon a Time, Dave’s Old Porn and Modern Family, and Lou talks about Top Chef: Texas, Smallville season 7, 2 Broke Girls, Ringer, Pan Am and the return of Chuck. Random TV news tidbits after that.

In Movies (~1:18:35), Tony saw absosmurfly nothing, and Lou, conversely, saw  The Green Lanter, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger and Fast Five. Miscellaneous movie news follows.

  • Nokia has shown off a flexible smartphone concept, and now Samsung is saying they’ll release a smartphone with a flexible screen in 2012
  • NASA is funding research on tractor beams. Finally!
  • The six-man crew of the ESA’s Mars500 program finally came out of their simulator on Friday, after 520 days of isolation
  • A new, updated iOS5 should fix the iPhone’s battery issues
  • On November 28th, BBCA will air the first episode of Top Gear Top 40, featuring the show’s best and most loved segments
  • Lomography has come out with a new 35mm movie camera that you can buy for $100 including a viewer
  • Japan wants to build a backup city for Tokyo
  • It turns out Bill Gates is ultimately the person at Microsoft who killed the Courier
