In video games, Tony talks about Crysis 2, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Burn the Rope. Lou talks about Rift. Miscellaneous video game news follows.

In TV (~23:40), the segment starts with American Idol 10 and the guys also talk about Top Chef All-Stars a little bit, but not about the finale, because neither of them have seen it. Tony talks about Celebrity Apprentice and Being Human. Lou talks about Castle and Chuck, with random TV news tidbits after that.

In Movies (~41:40), Tony saw The Adjustment Bureau and Megamind. Lou actually saw a movie, woohoo! It was Battle Los Angeles. Miscellaneous movie news follows.

In the Mash-Up segment (~1:12:40) the news this week includes:

  • AT&T has purchased T-Mobile for $39 billions of dollars.
  • While Samsung recently said that glasses-free 3D TV could be in stores in as few as 3 years, they’ve not recanted that, stating that it would be likely more than 10 years before that could happen
  • The Samsung Galaxy Tab has just had it’s pricing updated…to be exactly the same as that of the iPad. $499 for a WiFi version with 16GB memory, and $599 for the same with 32GB.
  • Microsoft took down the Rustock botnet, and with it has disappeared about 39% of global spam.
  • ICANN, which is the agency that decides how domain names work, has approved the .xxx extension
  • Samsung’s Series 9 laptop is thinner and lighter than a MacBook Air, as well as being faster, with a Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD
  • If you want to buy a Porsche 918 Spyder, get ready to jump through some hoops. Only certain dealers will be able to sell the car, and it’ll be reallllllly expensive
  • Pepsi has announced they they’ll soon be switching to a new bottle made entirely from vegetable material
  • NASA will soon be testing out the VASIMIR VF-200 plasma thruster in Earth orbit
  • The Zune is dead. No more Zune products will be made.
  • Motorola has pilfered engineers from both Apple and Adobe recently, and the rumor mill suggests that it’s to develop their own mobile platform
  • A company called Parker Brothers Choppers has made a giant Green Machine chopper
  • Finally, Io9 has posted an article on how to send a message out into space
