Our friend Todd Stashwick is home for the holidays again and joined us for another podcast. As with last year, we had a lot of fun geeking out and talking about all sorts of fun stuff. Todd’s an actor and writer who’s been in TV shows such as “The Riches”, “Heroes” and “Supernatural”, and is the co-creator of the web comic Devil Inside, which he writes and produces with artist Dennis Calero. Check out Devil Inside on Todd’s website here.

We start out this episode with some listener mail etc., questions for Todd, and general geekery.

In video games, we sorta gloss over the games we’ve all been playing, including Alan Wake, Assassins Creed 2, God of War III, Modern Warfare 2 (Todd), DC Universe Online Beta, Little Big Planet 2 Demo (Tony) and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (Lou). Miscellaneous video game news follows.

In TV (~52:50), Todd talks about the Doctor Who Christmas special, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood and comiserates with Lou over the untimely end of SGU. Tony and Lou talk a little bit about Top Chef All-Stars, and Lou spends a few minutes on Doctor Who Series 5, with random TV news tidbits after that.

In Movies (~1:09:10), all three of the guys saw TRON Legacy, Todd saw Black Swan, and Tony started to watch The Town, but fell asleep. Miscellaneous movie news follows.

In the Mash-Up segment (~1:26:00) the news this week includes:

  • Apple has filed a patent for holographic displays.
  • Nintendo has issued a warning that kids under 6 shouldn’t  use the 3D part of the 3DS, because it could permanently affect their vision. And not in a good way.
  • Somebody has hacked the Kinect to allow it to be used to gesture-control World of Warcraft

As always, the end of the episode is when Tony & Lou (and, this time, Todd) reveal their votes for this week’s Best & Worst entertainment moments.

The pause.com Entertainment Podcast is hosted by long-time friends Tony Incopero and Lou Zucaro. Join them as they discuss all sorts of fun things in the world of entertainment, gaming, gadgets, cars and more with a healthy dose of their sense of humor.
