We start out this episode with some listener mail.

In this episode, Tony talks about the Mafia II demo and a little bit about Monkey Island 2 on the iPad. Lou actually played Lord of the Rings Online again, as well as Fallen Earth, Razor2: Hidden Skies and…well, more later. Miscellaneous video game news follows.

In TV (~22:55), Tony talks a little about Top Chef with Lou, who then follows up with Supernatural and Persons Unknown. Random TV news tidbits after that.

In Movies (~47:15), Lou saw Salt and both Tony and Lou saw The Other Guys. Miscellaneous movie news follows.

In the Mash-Up segment (~1:16:15) the news this week includes:

  • Google and Verizon have been under the microscope, thanks to an article in the New York Times that said they were engaging in an agreement related to Net Neutrality issues.
  • Clear has released their iSpot mobile 4G Wi-Fi hotspot for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. On day 1, it was $30 and $25 / month with no contract. The normal price of it is $100.
  • Audi has launched a petition…on Facebook…for people who want them to bring the TT RS to the U.S. The TT RS would be the fastest & sportiest of all TT variants and isn’t currently slated to come here.
  • Bing maps now has a taxi fare calculator, available in a few dozen cities.
  • Motorola will release the Droid 2 this fall, complete with an R2-D2 version, available only online from Verizon, that will feature Star Wars content and “external hardware” that’ll make it look more like R2-D2.
  • Mark Papermaster, who was the executive at Apple in charge of overseeing the iPhone’s development, has left the company, thanks to the iPhone 4 antenna problem that, according to Apple, isn’t actually a problem.
  • And there’s a rumor out there that Apple has known about the antenna issue for two years.
  • In other technology company executive firing news, HP’s CEO Mark Hurd was let go with a generous severance package after sexual harassment allegations arose regarding a contractor
  • An Asus phone running Windows Phone 7 has been spotted in the wild.
  • Sharp is planning on launching a glasses-free 3D smartphone sometime this year.
  • The very-cool Lancia Stratos “prototype” that was making the internet rounds in pictures was actually a one-off for a private collector, and was designed by Pininfarina. The original Stratos was designed by Bertone.
  • Samsung’s new FX2490HD monitor doubles as a 1080p TV. What’s weird is that it’s $540, which is about $100 more than the old 26” version that you could get a couple years ago.
  • Microsoft will release an Arc Touch Mouse next month for about $70, which will probably be more of a trackpad than a mouse. Or maybe not.
  • Gmail now allows you to open multiple accounts through multiple logins in the same browser
  • If you’re one of those people who’s always wanted a dedicated gaming chair, check out the X-Dream Dyroxus, available exclusively at Boys Stuff UK starting later this month. For about $650 you get something that looks like it was designed by Emperor Palpatine and that gyrates around based on the on-screen action so that you can be more immersed in your console gameplay.
  • Portland, OR is home to the first electric vehicle quick charge station in the U.S.
  • Sony’s Xperia X10 is finally going to be released and hopefully will be less-sucky than the original Xperia. It’ll definitely be less sucky pricing, at just $150 through AT&T.
  • A guy dressed as Darth Vader robbed a bank at gunpoint on Long Island

As always, the end of the episode is when Tony & Lou reveal their votes for this week’s Best & Worst entertainment moments.
