In TV (~26:20), the guys talk about Lost before Tony moves on to American Idol. Lou gives some quickie thoughts on 24, V, Flash Forward, Fringe, Chuck, Stargate Universe and Top Chef Masters. Random TV news tidbits after that.

In Movies (~53:25) Tony saw Iron Man 2 and Lou saw approximately zero movies. Miscellaneous movie news follows.

  • Japan’s JAXA space agency has announced that it will have a moon based operation by 2020
  • The X-51A Waverider set the record for the longest hypersonic flight (that we know of) yesterday, when it flew at Mach 5 for just over 200 seconds
  • Apple has overtaken Microsoft to be the world’s most valuable technology company
  • Sony has created a 4″ OLED display that’s so thin & flexible, it can be rolled up around something the diameter of a pencil
  • Google Chrome’s final build is now available for both the Mac and Linux.
  • Audi’s 2011 A8 will feature a Wi-Fi hotspot that can be activated by inserting an active SIM card into a slot built-in to the car
  • HP’s Slate is alive once again, reborn with a new soul, in the form of a special version of Palm’s Web OS
  • Foxconn, who makes stuff for Apple and Dell among others, is in the hot seat lately due to an increasing number of suicides
  • The 16GB iPhone 3GS is now $97 at Wal-Mart
  • Samsung has started showing off a 19″ AMOLED screen that is 30% transparent
  • Rumor has it that a 3D Blu-ray of Avatar will ship with all Panasonic 3D TVs starting in August
  • An irate AT&T customer went into an AT&T store and shot one of the employees yesterday. The suspect was shot by an off-duty police officer who happened to be there
  • Verizon announced that when it turns on 4G service, no unlimited data plans will be available
  • NBC and Time Warner have told Apple that they’re not ready to ditch Flash for HTML 5
  • There’s a rumor that Comcast may soon offer 105Mb service for about $200 / month
