Windows Phone 7 Series Is Really, Really Beautiful
Sure, none of us has used it yet, but the same was true when Apple first demo’d the iPhone. But based on what we’re seeing here, Microsoft has gone way past everybody else, including Apple, to dream up and deliver something truly new and wonderful.
And if the above isn’t enough, there’s a longer hands-on video from MSDN’s Channel 9 here: (UPDATE: Which wasn’t working, so here’s the link)

Pretty nifty
While i understand the concept of not having to open separate apps to do what each app does, does it count as true multi-tasking? If not, then I don’t see it as really any different than any other smart phone.
To this day, I stand by the belief that the iPhone is the coolest device I’ve ever owned. I use it more than any other device and I rarely ever actually talk on the phone. But lately, I’ve been thinking about the idea of another brand of phone, mostly one of the Google phones, that don’t have all of the crap that’s available on the apple store. I’m moving past downloading everything that looks fun and cool and just wanting a base set of apps that allow me to truly do the things I want to do without all of the clutter of the crap that comprises 98% of the apple store. I keep thinking another brand of phone with the same (or better) abilities but limited in its store size would be one for me.
Looking at this video and being fairly happy with Windows 7 in general puts it in the running with the Google phone (whichever one it may be).
Thanks for posting that. Now I’m thinking again.

I know what you’re saying. I agree that the iPhone is certainly one of the coolest gadgets I’ve ever had, but there’s enough wrong with it (IMO) to keep my eyes peeled for something that’s a bit more “me” so to speak.
I’m hoping that WP7S delivers on that (despite the horrible branding heh). I like the look of it for sure.
Yeah, I’m not clear on the multitasking yet…I was under the impression there was no true multitasking on it, either, but then I saw something, somewhere that made me think otherwise. Maybe.
