In this episode:

In Video Games, Tony talks about Red Faction Guerilla and Lou talks about the Left 4 Dead 2 and Dragon Age Origins “demos”. Miscellaneous video game news after that.

In TV (~28:40), the guys discuss The OfficeFlash Forward, V and Modern Family. Lou also talks about Stargate Universe a bit more and the fact that there’s STILL no bad guy! Random TV news follows.

In Movies (~53:25) Tony talks about seeing Welcome to Macintosh and Lou still hasn’t seen anything (although he’s hopeful to see 2012 on Friday). General movie news follows.

In the Mash-Up segment (~1:14:00) the news is a bit light this week, but includes:

  • VW has taken over the #1 car maker spot from Toyota, who took it over from GM last year
  • The Multipin Digital Pinball Machine is a 17-game virtual pinball machine in a real pinball cabinet, but with a virtual playfield on a giant-ass screen. Available from Hammacher Schlemmer of course, for $6k
  • Super Talent has a USB 3.0 flash drive…available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB sizes, it should be about 10x faster than USB 2.0. No prices yet.
  • The Large Hadron Collider was shut down because a speck of bread was dropped into it, probably from a bird. The LHC is supposed to start colliding later this month.
  • Google is offering free WiFi in airports over the holidays (through January 15th); available at 47 airports
  • LEGO now has a VIP program through which you can earn points and eventually get free stuff.
  • Staples Black Friday ad shows that they’ll have some pretty sweet deals, for example: Microsoft 4000 Wireless Laser Keyboard/Mouse for $29.99; HP 15.6″ Laptop with 3G RAM for $299.98; APC 450VA battery backup for $19.99; Seagate 1TB external hard drive for $69.99; eMachines 21″ widescreen LCD monitor for $89.98; Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 for $69.99

As always, the end of the episode is when Tony & Lou reveal their votes for this week’s Best & Worst entertainment moments.
