T3’s Super-Cool 01 Phone “Sold” to Australian Victim

We really dig T3’s concept 01 Phone, so much that we’ve covered it every step of the way.
And you love it, too…our various posts on the 01 Phone have gotten more traffic than just about anything else!
But a malicious Chinese entrepreneur has cashed in on that love in a terrible way: By advertising the 01 Phone as being for sale for €505…and accepting orders for it. I’m sure I don’t have to remind you that the 01 Phone is still just a concept, albeit one that T3 is working on making into a reality. Still, at least one Australian enthusiast, who didn’t realize that the advertised product doesn’t really exist yet, parted with his (or her?) hard-earned cash for the 01 Phone, only to realize later that it was a scam.

It’s really bad isn’t it Lou – I was shocked when I got the email from the chap last week, i really hope the bank can chase his $990AU back for him. Terrible state of affairs, but on the other hand it *is* a bit funny. Though I imagine the Australian guy isn’t laughing much!
We’ve been slaving on a new video of it for over a month now, should be going up on the site later this month hopefully – will give you a big head’s up when we’ve got it!
